Good morning,
We are closing out this practice series with some final offerings to support rest of the physical vessel, the nervous system, and the spirit.
With a go-go-go societal beat to our days, an overactive nervous system can begin to feel like the norm. Taking 10 minutes in between activities or to transition out of work mode to consciously breathe… to have time without screens… to experience a yoga nidra meditation (below)… are all some suggestions for nourishing and balancing the nervous system.
Similarly, we may at times be mindlessly transitioning to sleep or have an overactive mind before bed. The moments before sleep are sacred yet can often be filled with screens or ruminating. What if we ritualized this moment? Take 5 minutes meditating on the flame of a candle… gentle self oil massage… a gratitude practice or prayer… a short guided meditation (below). Try some of these on and see what may feel good to you.
Expect some time off before we reconvene with a new series. I will be resting myself and sinking into the liminal space of the autumn equinox ahead. May you bring into awareness each day something that you love, something that brings you peace, something that brings you joy.
With love,
Erin
